OK. I need to know how great is KBBS? I just don't understand. Is it 100x better than BCBCS (not infected)? I just don't get the craze of these TG stouts. I had morning delight and while it was great I'm not trading away $200 worth of beer for it, or driving 8 hr each way to buy it. My brother in law had assasin and said it was good but not world changing. Is it just you have to tick these beers or what?

Assassins ridiculously overrated, kbbs and md are really good. b1 mornin delight surpassed the hype actually IMO. I'm sure it's not drinking great anymore though...

If your a beer geek, cellar dork, BA hunter, you need to be at this event. Come join us at Ben's Bottle Shop for this exclusive complete vertical tasting of Deschutes Abyss. We will open every year from 2006-20015 including the Cognac and Rye Whiskey Variants for 2015!

Only 20 tickets will be sold! Each ticketed attendee will receive a 1 ounce pour of from each bottle, starting w/ the 2006 as we work up to the current release. Enjoy each bottle(12 total) one at a time, ending with the 12 Cognac variant. I have duplicates of several bottles that I am guessing will be favorites (06, 08, 12, 14). All bottles have been properly cellared and well cared for so this shoudl be someting special.

Light snacks will be provided as part of the event....and if you wanted to bring someting special to share that would be great as well. I look forward to sharing this experience with you..

Fake or not, once it's released you know people will say "this goes for Art. I've seen it done" and that will be the going rate no matter how mediocre the beer is. So glad I don't usually chase hype train stouts or generally care about them.

Booked a hotel room for Saturday night near downtown Athens. Plan to is leave Saturday morning, check in and grab lunch, then do whatever. I'll have my girlfriend with me and promised her we weren't going to be doing only beer ****. But I could be down for a small bottle share or something in Athens if that's feasible, maybe even at my hotel room unless there's a bottle shop/bar/etc that allows them. Perhaps I can get her a spa pass for the afternoon or something.
