I know you all must see these posts all the time, but here's another one.

I brewed my first kit, a Nut Brown Ale, about 5 weeks ago...sat in the primary 11 days, 21 days in the secondary, and bottled it last Saturday morning.

Put one in the fridge early this morning....heard a nice little ppfffffftttt as I popped the cap off. Ahhh, carbonation! Poured it into a glass and took a pull. Man I couldn't be happier with it! Had a really good taste, honestly, perfect carbonation, and a nice color. :rockin:

I then got really pissed at myself. Why? Because I only put 1 in the fridge!!! :drunk:

I'm officially hooked on the hobby.

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole! Might as well get a mash tun now, it's gonna happen eventually...

I bottled my first 2 batches last saturday too. Maby i should put a . already planned a some more brew and want to go all grain already. I will be making a mash tun and a kegerator soon.

Congrats! I brewed a belgian extract kit for my first brew and I had a similar reaction. Everyone seemed to like it. I just wish I kept a few bottles around.

I believe that every homebrewer vividly remembers that very FIRST bottle from the very FIRST batch of beer...it is a simple, satisfying pleasure! Enjoy the addiction!

I am down to five bottles of my first batch. When I taste it now I wish I had left it another few weeks in primary. But I had beer fever and shot too soon. Good job waiting.

sometimes this can go the opposite way. my first bottle from my first batch almost turned me away from the hobby.. lol!

Yuppers, I hear ya loudly and clearly, SuperJunior! But since I've been brewing, I have NOT had one single batch come out badly. Guess I'd better knock on wood, or something! But I do follow sanitizing and cleaning procedures carefully to prevent a bad batch. So far, so good!

Congrats! I too cracked open my first bottle tonight. It was so very good. I bottled it 2 weeks ago tomorrow so rushed in putting 3 into the fridge 2 days ago. Also got to take a sip of my boyfriends first brew this afternoon. I am hooked :)

I shared in the same experience this week! I popped the top on my first and it was great, but I had to talk myself down from drinking more! I did take a 6 pack for my buddies to try out and it was unanimous that it was a good brew! Its very addicting! Ive even brought 2 of my friends into the hobby!
