Ok have you seen that show Brew Dogs? They just did An open air outside fermentation. Like Anchor Steam used to do. Has anyone done this before?

Back when Brewing TV was quality with Mike and Jake and Chip, there were at least two episodes on open fermentation.

Yeah but I'm wondering if anyone in here has done it? I just hear so many stories about wild yeasts.

Why was it they were so unconcerned about nastiness from the dude's hat, his feet, and their hands...Perhaps the sanitizing portion of that segment was edited out? Do I not need worry about being sanitary when I'm open fermenting outside like a boss?

If you're worried about it. Brew up a batch and take one gallon and try open fermenting with it. That way you won't run the risk of messing up a whole beer. Who knows, you could find a sweet brewers yeast floating around your house...
