So I made a boo-boo. I mixed up my wheat and IPA recipes and used the Magnum and Glacier hops intended for my IPA in my wheat. From what I've read, this should actually be better than the Amarillo hops I was going to put in there. Opinions on this?

Also, is it ok to use the Amarillo hops in my IPA instead? And follow two Amarillo hops with a Citra Dry-Hop? I think I read Amarillo hops are commonly used in IPAs but I want confirmation...

Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone! I feel much better about the IPA now.

As for the wheat though, will the Magnum and Glacier hops be ok there?

The wheat should be fine. It probably won't be what you initially expected, but it should be good, although more significantly hopped. If you produce the best beer that you've ever had you probably won't be able to reproduce it though:)

I used to live in Lisle a long time ago, I'll bet that it's changed some.

An American Wheat ale with magnum and glacier sounds delicious. And, you'll be very happy with the Amarillo in the IPA. Hopefully, you had enough to achieve the bitterness you're shooting for.

Lol. I bet Lisle has changed! I've only been out here about 3 years now though, so I couldn't tell you the difference. I sure do love it here though!

As for the IPA... I'm not much of an IPA drinker! I'm making it for my buddy's grad school graduation party (say that 3 times fast!), so it's more for everyone else than myself. I'll be making that one Monday morning, and as for tomorrow, I'm doing an all-grain Red Ale. Should be interesting! My first all-grain! (Supervised by my boyfriend, of course...)
