oops... apfelwein mistake

Well, i went to the store today to get some apple juice to make apfelwein today and grabbed some tree top which is what everyone seems to be using but got home and looked at the jugs and it ends up i got apple cider instead! Should i still be ok? Will this make a difference?

Supposedly, the Tree Top cider is slightly more tart than the juice. That being said, I've used both products, and I can't find any difference in the juice itself or the finished apfelwein.

So long as it has no preservatives (other than vitamin C) and is pasteurized, you should be fine.
