Hi, I'm Heather. Pretty new to brewing kombucha, I think I'm currently on my fourth batch.

When I was setting this one up in my 2 two quart jars this week, I splashed a little vinegar around the jars to help sanitize before adding my starter tea, nutrient solution, and scobys and I forgot to dump the vinegar out! Probably no more than 2-3 tbsp. per jar.

What's the worst that can happen with this mistake?

Thanks so much!
Heather

This is not a problem! If you have a SCOBY but no brewed kombucha you can use vingear to keep the acidity high enough to stop mold while the SCOBY gets established.

Ok, thanks. I sort of figured it wasn't a huge problem, just might taste a bit more vinegar-y, but worried that the pH might be TOO low. Appreciate the confirmation! :)
