Older Conical Getting Rust

So I have an old conical that I've been using for 3 or 4 years and the dump valve, interior weld is starting to develop some rust spots.

If I sanitize as usual and ferment, will the rust have any impact on the fermenting beer?

Try a good scrubing w/ bar keepers friend, I was amazed how it made a 3 year old kettle look like new.

+1. Sounds like the weld may have been contaminated when it was done. Scrubbing with a white scrubby on the back of a sponge and BKF will clean it and repassivate the stainless.
