Hi. I have a bottle of Irish Moss that is about 10 years old. I want to use it but am afraid that it will wreck the brew. it doesn't smell any worse that it did 10 years ago. Does anyone know if kept properly, can I still use it?

Since it’s added to the boil, I don’t think you have any infection worries.

If it doesn’t smell funky, you probably don’t have any flavor worries.

Your most likely worst case is probably that it doesn’t work.

By "bottle", is this substance a liquid?

I've always used dry IM, which simply smells like the seaweed that it is. Kept dry I'd think a near infinite shelf life.
Don't know about a liquid form, though...

Cheers!

Dry, in a bottle.
