1: Two Chugger Pumps SS Center (local beer supply store)
2. Therminator (local beer supply store)
3. Camlocks, parts for inline therm. for Therminator, weldless whirlpool fixtures all from Bargainfittings
4. Ordered 3 all grain kits from Northern Brewer due to the sale and flat rate shipping!
So for the Chugger pumps my original thought was to use one to take the wort from the keggle through the Therminator. Was thinking of using the second pump to pump ice cold water through the therminator and re-circ. back over a second cooler filled with ice water so I don't waste water (I just dump the water on the various plants in the backyard).
Was also thinking once I switch to all grain (have a MLT & HLT already) I can use the one pump to carry the water from the Keggle to the MLT 152-154 and the second pump I can use to fill the HLT with 170 F for the sparge.
Anyone have ideas on a better setup to use the 2nd pump for? I picked up the Therm. because the wort chiller was taking for days to chill the wort down from 212 one batch took over 1 hr to get down to 68F.
Getting pumped to do my first All grain batch!
THIS BOARD ROCKS!
