Ether was one of the first general anaethetics if I'm not mistaken, it's around used and abused since the end of the 19th century if not earlier.

That's not a drunk guy, it's a really thirsty guy with a bad case of vertigo! :D

I like how he keeps trying to get up but won't let go of the 12 pack, he's clutching it like it's a million dollar bill.

If I'm ever that drunk... the LAST thing on my mind is more beer. It's usually "toilet" or "why is the ground upside down?"

My SWMBO is saying that this guy has ataxia and the alcohol may be enhancing the uncoordinated movement. She is a occupational therapist but still thought it was funny.

Ive definitely been that drunk and the fact that hes goin back for more bud strongly suggests hes drunk.

Unless his buddies got him all goofed up on ether or ketamine and dared him to go into the store to buy some beer..... I think there's a dare, or setup, or some sort of conspiracy involved here......

Here's my medical opinion.

To the person who said it was low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia for the fancy word), it isn't. Low blood sugar does cause motor symptoms, but it also causes confusion, aggression and reduced consciousness. He looks pretty conscious in what he is doing and isn't confused.

It could be a form of ataxia, Friedrichs ataxia is probably the most likely. But that is still pretty rare - and uncommon for somebody who has it to be walking around without a walking frame or wheelchair when they know they're going to fall over. Also, you'll notice (or atleast the medical folks will) that he has no other cerebellar symptoms - no past pointing or obvious intention tremor for example.

My opinion is that he is drunk. But then I've never seen anybody on ketamine for recreational purposes.

I hate myself for posting this but as funny as this last video is, it pisses me off people just walk by some guy obviously having a hard time and can't even be bothered to try to help.

I am glad the person holding the video camera just did their job and taped it.
