I'm brewing an Extra Strong Ale at the moment. The batch of Fuggles I got from Freshops has a listed alpha acid content of 3.5%. A little lower than normal, but I created a new hop profile for it in ProMash. I adjusted hop additions to match the AA levels at each hop additon. I just got to thinking that for the bittering addition, this should be pretty accurate. But for the later flavor and aroma additions, am I going to be over hopping? Just because the AA levels are lower, does that make the flavor and aroma aromatics lower?

Waddayathink?

Thanks david, but I just pitched the yeast and put the carboy in the fermenting fridge. I ended up with 94 grams of leaf hops in the pot. Soaked up a lot of wort. Oh well, it will still be beer. I know, I'll just call it an IPA now.;)
