Well, it's been a tough week in my little homebrew world :( .

On Saturday after a long, hot day working in the yard I went to pull a pint from my keezer and it was not as cold as it should be. I have it set at 44F, and this was warmer than it should be . The freezer is about 6 years old. I unplugged it, pulled the three kegs out and put them in my lager fridge (which doubles as the overflow fridge for food and milk) hoping that maybe the coils were just frozen. Well by Sunday afternoon it was clear that my keezer had chilled it's last keg.

So I am scouring craiglist for a used fridge or freezer. But in the meantime I have 4 kegs in my spare fridge; two lagers that are lagering, and two IPA's that I am drinking. And, hey, I gotta have my beer, right??? So I slapped a picnic tap on one of the IPAs which will work just fine until I can get a new keg fridge or keezer.

But it gets worse....this morning I step into my garage to go to work and there is a stream of liquid running from the fridge towards the garage doors. I opened the fridge to discover there is a bad seal on the picnic tap and 3 gallons of a 5 gallon IPA have leaked out all over the fridge and out onto the floor :( . Oh the tragedy.

I am trying to look on the bright side.....at least I can brew this weekend. But man, this stinks.

I had a pint that was a tad warm yesterday too, not that bad though. I hope the same thing isnt happening to my kegerator, it's only about 3 months old!

I keep it in my garage, it was only 97 degrees outside here in Richmond yesterday:rolleyes:

Sorry for your loss, but now you get to do it again and add all the stuff you thought of late the first time!

Anything but an IPA! Anything at all!
It makes me wanna... well...

I feel your pain.

Amarillo IPA with 6 ounces of hops in the boil and dry hopped with 2 more :( :( :(: .

You say Amarillo? I may be responsible! My Amarillo summer ale decided to pull the same prank day before yesterday. Barely tapped, now just 2 gallons left. Why oh why, why us??? :(

Ah ha! So it's those blasted Amarillo hops that are to blame for this?!?!?!?! What should I do with the 8 ounces I have left in my freezer?? ;)
