I am doing a partial mash and my co-brewer miss read the thermometer the thought it was 160F but it was really 180F for the grain steep. What kind of problems can i expect to have if any? I have since have tried to cool as best i can to 160F.

What is the recipe, are you sure it's not just steeping grains? If it's instructing you to hold the grains at 160 then I'm thinking it must be just steeping grains, in which case it's not a problem. If it really is a partial mash the effect depends on how much of the fermentables were supposed to come from the mash. If it's a large percentage of the recipe it could significantly change the beer as you would have denatured the enzymes at that temp and not gotten much in the way of fermentables from your mash.
