Oh no did i ruin my beer?

NOTE TO SELF, never try and do 100 other things on brew day!!!!! Yesterday I brewed a Brewer's Best Belgian Tripel extract kit while trying to do a 100 other freaking things around the house. Here is where I ------ up. The brew schedule called for 1.5 oz of bittering hops at the beginning of the boil and 1 oz of aroma hops at 50 minutes with a total boil time of 55 minutes. Because of trying to do a 100 things just I did not read over the schedule like I should have and I added all the hops at the beginning of the boil. What will adding the aroma hopes along with the bittering hops at the beginning of the boil do to the taste of my beer?

I did that on a Vienna batch not long ago. I cut the boil time from 60 minutes to 35 minutes and added some more finishing hops near the end. It came out really good. You don't have that option now since it's finished, so it will end up more bitter than intended. How much more of course depends on the hops used, but I'll bet it will still be good.

You didn't 'ruin' your beer... just made something a bit different than what you set out to make. It'll probly be more bitter than intended and not have the more delicate 'hoppy' flavor and aromas that the kit intended but it'll still be beer and most likely be quite drinkable... relax, learn a lesson and see how it comes out.

I am new to brewing but I bet I will never make that mistake again. They were Mt. Rainier hops I guess both packs are the same just different amounts, both are Alpha: 6.1%, Beta: 5.7%
