I just got done brewing and as I'm cleaning up. I notice a random lock washer at the bottom of my sink:

I can't seem to figure out where it would have come from. All that was in the sink that could have one are the ball valve on my SS Brewtech kettle and the pliers I used to help take the thermometer plug and ball valve off with. I don't notice that anything is necessarily missing from the ball valve but this is literally the second time I've used the kettle, so I could me missing it:

Should it be in the gap under the lever for the valve? I'm 99.999% sure it wasn't on my pliers.

Looks like a tie wire from a big bag of potatoes, carrots, or onions. Could be a tie wire from a tag on something also. Never seen anything like that on any of my valves, and I've taken them apart to clean many times.

I just checked, there is not a lock washer under lever on ones I have. I agree it looks more like a bag tie, bent fence staple or upholstery hog ring than a lock washer.
