Hello guys, I have one doubt in OG of an IPA recipe that drew ..
Well, my question is as follows:
- Adding sugar to 10m by the end of the boil, the beer OG no changes are you?
Furthermore, if I using sugar, beer will be drier correct?

The sugar will be around 99% fermentable and it will not contribute any body. It will increase OG but leave FG about unaltered.

*adding sugar to the boil will raise the OG... 1# of sugar in 5 gallons will raise it by about 9 pts... so a 1.060 OG would become a 1.069 OG.

*It should also cause a slightly lower FG and a dryer finish.

FG should be slightly lower because alcohol's specific gravity is less dense.

Yep, I'm yet to see a good calculation but we might be talking about the same (slightly lower FG but not necessarily that much different). :D
