little bday/holiday share for my buddy dave and some other amazing people. some notes: cd14 is incredible, seriously this is better than cd11 by a long shot. gin clara was interesting and that's it...nothing special and regular clara is better FWIW. trillium was on point, 2012 coffee is still pretty good but definitely falling off...drink it if you have one. 2015 bcbs was surprisingly good and comparable to older vintages of bcbs. both the trilliums were good. leaves of grass was tasty but a total gusher.

Small tasting with a buddy last night. We did Sip Tesseract and Citra Blind. My order was Tesseract, Citra then Sip as tesseract was just so much fruitier than all the other ones. My buddy picked Citra, Tesseract, then Sip given how complex the nose was on Citra. It was a little too graham cracker sweet and bitter for my taste. LoG really funky with only a little bit of sour apple candy sweetness in the back, very balanced.

Nelson Hose was great and Gin Clara really blew me away. It just managed to pick all the amazing qualities of a good gin (tropical fruit, spice, floral) without any alcohol burn. Really bummed it is such a limited brew because it turned out amazing, really hopes he does more stuff with those Gin makers again.

Kind of potato-ish, from last Friday with Jvrdz24 wallham and another buddy and their significant others.

From left to right: SARA/HF Works of Love '13, Rare '15, To The Choir, Nectarine Bu, Synthesis Analogous, Hunter Coconut, Cherry Raz Gose, Framboos '14, Peach Fruit Stand, Nonna's 9, RdG '15, Black Label '15, Cherry Blu Bu, Peach Family Preserves, Palimpsest and Snowed In.

Standouts of the night for me were Works of Love, Rare, To The Choir, Synthesis Analogous, Nectarine Bu, Framboos and Snowed In, but everything was great.

Works of Love: Beautiful blend of HF and SARA. The funk stands out. Maybe the best saison I've ever had.
Rare: Barrel character is huge. Tons of bourbon, coconut, caramel and oak. Dark chocolate underneath. I've seen some mixed reviews, but I loved it.
To The Choir: Another incredible saison. The wine barrel character was amazing, one of the best and my favorite SARA saison to date.
Nectarine Bu: Funky nectarine juice. Reminiscent of Nectarine Premiere but with more funk.
Synthesis Analogous: Big sherry barrel character that melds so well with the fruit. Really dry and oaky.
Hunter Coconut: Really nutty coconut presence, more like hazelnut to me. Pretty good stuff.
Cherry Raz Gose: Raspberries in this bottle were huge. So bright and jammy.
Framboos: Basically still, which was its only deterrent. The nose on this beer is just amazing to me. Really bright raspberry jam.
Peach Fruit Stand: A bit buttery at first, but it opened up nicely. Not as jammy as the preserves.
Nonna's 9: Another fantastic SARA saison, up there with the other two saisons.
RdG: 9/28/15 bottling. Pretty nice balance of fruit and funk, this is a great batch.
Black Label: x2016 cork, really reminded me of a cross between Cantillon and 3F. Great stuff.
Cherry Blu Bu: Cherries are so bright and fleshy here. Bit of that cinnamon pie quality.
Peach Family Preserves: de Garde esq fruit quality. Just straight peach juice almost, bit of malt character on the finish.
Palimpsest: Best Flanders red style ale I've had. Clean and incredibly balanced.
Snowed In: Coconut was insane here, most coconut forward beer I've had. Barrel character and malt came out very nicely as it opened up.

Thanks guys! Was definitely a share to remember.

And we are missing things that folks wanted to take home like a Gratitude vertical, Cable Car Criek, a couple bottles of 2015 Rare, the White Series, a bunch of homebrew and unlabeled bottles.

Great times as always and already planning on how to improve for 2016.

Cheeers!
Hey pal, great pictures. You did forget one beer though...

This picture is probably weeks late

Awesome share, lots of highlights. Fou was a 2012, drinking well but I prefer 13 right now. Works of Love wins overall for me. Prop is beetus. 04 LPF was very sour, but also deeply complex with basement funk and tons of jam.

Finally getting around to posting some picks from a tasting in Jersey

A couple others were consumed but didnt get pics. Some cool old ticks but seeing some old friends and meeting new people was the best part for me.

Love the ridiculous amount of head still on the Iris. That's my favorite beer.

Absoluetly. That beer stole the show for me and was so cool of Raf to bring that as an "extra". I enjoy aged Iris in general- #Neanderthalpalate but this was exceptional. Had a 98 recently but was not as good as this B1.

I am in a training class on New Years Eve so I am just going to bombard this thread during my breaks. Some of these pics are old but....

Sorry, I have no idea why it flipped the pictures on their side. That is not how they look on my phone.
