Very nice! what was the consensus on beirpallieters?

Not that anyone is obligated to do it, but I really love when people write just a little about which beers stood out (in either direction) or what beers surprised them. Beer porn is awesome (and ThreeFishes just posted some solid porn), but what makes it really interesting to an outsider like me is how some of these top-rated beers stack up against each other.

Sometimes a well-written description is sexier than just a bunch of pictures without context.

How else am I supposed to let everyone know how big my beer dick is though?!??!?!

Really though I do try to take brief notes on "rare" beers that I drink or if it may be of interest to others.

Fight night!

Boring fight, but great beer. Having a case of Heady shipped in was a great idea!

This was really good. The color is amazing. I'm not sure what an elderberry is, but they're tasty in beer.

Best of the night IMO.

This was just ok, but to me it tasted like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. I guess that's good?

Monday is improving, becoming more balanced as the cherry dies down a little.
Thursday is delicious.
Wednesday is still better than Tuesday. Its the same base aged in different barrels, single malt whiskey is evidently better that rye.

Partook in a little Cinco de Mayo / Mexican inspired beer tasting yesterday with imperialking that was a very good time.

Roble Blanco wasn't as awful as I expected, but it certainly wasn't good (but it did get better when paired with food / as it warmed up / as I got used to it's flavor).

Freckle was surprisingly fantastic, and I really wish I would've purchased additional bottles (and I may if its still available for Hoarders).

Hunahpu 2014 Batch 2 was more rich / decadent than the 2015 Batch, but the fresher version had more of a spice / pepper punch with a large amount of cocoa character.

Chili Lime > Hole Mole, but both were pretty tasty.

Cheers!

This was from this past Saturday for the fight and going away party of one of our friends that's moving to Colorado. Didn't take an entire lineup shot, but these were the highlights with Jvrdz24 ajaylock and friends.

2011, best beer of the night and one of the best beers I've ever had. Just perfect balance of everything. We had 2013 Hommage next to it as well (left it out due to max media space in this post), which was great, just not as great as this. Crazy how much the cherries came out in it next to boos, even with the small percentage they use.

B1 vs B2. On boxing night! B1 was the winner here. So jammy with a hint of cinnamon. B2 is great, but not quite there yet.

Crazy how much darker Black Raz is over Noir. Beautiful beer. Both were great, but I think the Black Raz just edged it out.

3rd Schramm's bottle I've had, only first had them the day before. This really blew my mind, one of the smoothest beverages I've ever had.

And finally so I don't take up too much thread space, this guy was easily the best stout of the night. I still prefer Assassin over it, but it's not far behind.

Other delicious beers 2014 Cantillon Gueuze, Mosaic Dry Hopped Fort Point, Wild Peach and Berry Whiskey Bu with others that are either good or meh but I'm too lazy to mention.

Cheers!
