Curious, do the other people in the office realize what you have on your desk? Or do they look at you as a raging alcoholic?
A few people know what it is but I work in the beer industry so it's not too unusual to have beer in the office. I am definitely the token beer nerd in the office and I'm ok with it haha

I have simple tastes.

Good couple of weeks, happy to have all these beers.

This second picture is of the beers that Locker338 sent me as a thank you for sending him beers for C&S. He's a mad man.

I have had exactly one beer from Brew Gentlemen but I can say for certain if I ever got my hands on two growlers I would tape them to said hands, dome them and film it. **** is so good.

This is for a case of Hefeweizen??? ISO 10 cases!
Heh. Yep.

This ain't $20/4-pack hype beer.

They've got one of the largest brew systems in Austin now at their new (beautiful) facility, so they're cranking that stuff out. I feel bad for whomever is doing the decoction mashes on that beer now.

They do decoction mashes? That's weird, most breweries in Germany stopped doing them. I did it once for a dunkelweizen but it's a pain in the ass.

They do. I can't find the video right now, but my arms hurt watching them mash in the Hefe, lol. Live Oak is the one brewery I can think of that swears by decoction mashing for character.

That's interesting, the majority of new German brewers swear against it. I heard the breweries that still do decoctions are mostly doing it out of tradition.

I'd be interested in that video, ours was all automated (pumped 1/3 of the mash into the boil kettle and then slowly pumped it back to raise the temp of the mash) but it added so much time to the brewing schedule and I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the end.

Here's their gigantic decoction paddle (at the old brewery, which I swear was somebody's garage when I visited). Video? It was prolly inside another video on brewing. Regardless, LO Pils/Hefe is always mah jam.
