Killer box arrived from drgarage this morning! Stellar beers and also two homebrewed cherry sours to enjoy. Happy Birthday to me!

Had to go the Farmer's Market to pick some things up for someone else. I sampled Griffin Meads before I'd even eaten breakfast. Schramm Meadery has ruined meads for me. Everything just seems awful and insignificant compared to their product. However, this Limelight was touted as "mojito"-like in flavor, and was their best offering that I tried. I'll share this sometime soon so other locals can try it.

Picked up some organic strawberries too. Look how red and juicy they are. Will have to try some tonight. Not pictured are two medium-sized Texas Red Ruby Grapefruits. Love me some quality grapefruit.

Anyway, none of these are the main haul today. This is.

It looks like at some point it was literally encased in wax.

It was. The entire thing was literally covered in wax and i peeled it out to see if the label was intact. This particular bottle was obviously a joke bottle at TG and the rest of the 12 gold waxes were normal wax-jobs. They were made after the red wax versions from a single barrel and were given to people who had over-fills of the red wax version as those leaked as the temperature went up and these golds were never sold.
