Early birthday present from the wife!
2013_12_31_17_37_00.jpg

07 Rochefort 10
Carolus Xmas
2x Westy XII
Fantome Pissenlit
Westy VIII
Fantome Chocolat
Cantillon Rose de Cambrinus
Cantillon Gueuze
Cantillon Kriek

She picked them all out herself and I'm damn impressed.

Crazy talk!! lol :)

Big fan of both, but can't wait for the Vanilla and Coffee Noir (if they ever make it here, at this point I have my doubts...)
I just don't dig Bomb that much. I've had it around 10 times and don't really get the hype.

Noir on the other hand... this batch is dreamy!

I wasn't able to take a pick but two other great hauls came in today:

From Rau71
2 x Firestone Walker 17 (which is all this trade was for, then he crushes me with)
Melange 3
FW Double Jack
Beat6
Eclipse - either rum or four roses. Need to double check that.

And a sweet Maine box from JBPortland
2x Stillbow Oxtisinal
MBC Another One (sounds awesome)
A couple delicious stouts (vanilla, cacoa nibs and oak involved. Those words have never let me down)

I will be posting 2x hauls tomorrow. 1 from tehzachatak which should be lulzy because we never quite said exactly what we were sending the other. Just a general list of styles. and the other is from 1noa. I will re-iterate it tomorrow, but Noa is part of the ever burgeoning awesome members of this community. We originally agreed on a goandpickitupforme on 2x bottles of Half Acre big hugs. I would gladly pay exact cost, plus a little extra for his trouble. He sent them to me free as a "parting gift" before I enter the police academy in a few days. Super generous brother. I will mark you down on my profile list that is my own reminder to people I want to hit back with a surprise box. It'll be really nice to savor those beers after a hard day.

Cheers!

To be clear, we never even remotely said what we were sending each other, including number of bottles or anything. This is why I love this website, because the peoples have all the loves for the other peoples. Also expecting a box from the Business Sloth tomorrow, very excite. Hopefully this ******* Boston maelstrom storm doesn't **** the **** out of it.

I can only hope the box makes it unscathed, and doth get thine penile wet with excitement.

Verdict is in. tehzachatak knows how to win a Business Sloth's heart. I didn't realize the picture came out like such crap though. Too much coffee and shaky hands. Anyway, he nailed it with the Jack's Abby, Brother Soigne (HUGE want of mine ever since this beer came out), and Allagash wild ale. Then the beer with a note on it? It reads "This is a Backyard Rye. LYMI". There is absolutely no label anywhere on this bottle, except a random Bourbon County cap with the correct color designating 2013 variants.

I LYMI too zach. Man-crushing so hard right now...

I feel the need to separately post, and once again profusely thank 1noa for hooking me up with 2 Half Acre Big Hugs. LYMI. Srs.

I asked him to goandpickitupforme, and he did. I was gonna paypal him the cost, but he insisted it was a little present and asked me to either pay it forward some point, or feel free to shoot him back a box. I can assure everyone, that both options will happen as time and money allows. This is a glorious day for the Sloth Kingdom.

Also DrLoveMD offered to pick me up some Toppling Goliath. I have absolute, damn-fine trade partners. I couldn't ask for more. You guys give so much. Thank you for making my weekend off to a fine start

This is seriously how I feel today: So many feels.

I'll ask... why take the label off the Backyard Rye if you're just going to put a note saying what it is?

Edit: nice haul!

Received this amazing haul today as part of box_social 's "A Family in Need LIF". I was lucky enough to win the 'Cantillon Box" which had some really amazing stuff.
