The original trade was for the Berliner and some random New Glarus stuff for some glassware. He absolutely destroyed me with extras...and the 2012 Darkness stopped me cold. Seriously over the top and greatly appreciated. Have to add Sender1 to my revenge box list.

dafuq...Most places in SoCal had single bottle limits on Parabola and they sold out quickly, yet the East Coast has some sitting around. I don't know whose at fault, FW or Crest (the distributor) but I am disappointed, this **** seems to continue for every FW limited release.

In fairness to FW, this was from two stores, both of which must have staggered putting their allotment on the shelf, and many of the other places I called had sold out way before I got there.

From what I have gathered it does sound more like a distributor problem. They are a In-Bev distributor I believe, and are fairly clueless when it comes to craft. It seems they just always under buy, and over distribute (now that it is cool to sell craft beer and all, might as well take away cases from the places supporting it for years and giving them to random ass liquor stores).

Most allocations are based on sales. When my local shop knows a release is coming they will order a pallet of standard offering beers to boost their numbers and get a larger allocation of the limited stuff.

Not sure if that is how it works in SoCal, especially since I would guess a good amount of FW is bought and sold in this region. If I had to guess, it works similar, but is not based on FW offerings, but other beers too (faux craft and macros) that the distributor carries. Which would be why generic liquor stores who didn't start carrying craft until a few years ago gets the same amount of parabola as beer stores that have been around for a decade or more. Still, it seems as though the distributor simply does not have as much to spread around as distributors in other regions. I have no idea why this would be the case though (Crest not ordering enough, or FW not giving enough).
