Far too many Americans there though. Honestly wasn’t the most enjoyable time I’ve had at Cantillon.

I met up with jtmartino last night - he was going to try to come to a share at my local bottle shop, but wound up having to work later, so we met up for dinner instead. He brought a couple of things intended for the share, and also some beers for me.

See, he brought me a couple of cans for the fridge, very nice.

(I had to go downstairs in the basement to hide the following prawn from my family...

HOLY ****, this is insane.

Then he bought me dinner...

Game over - I can't believe "this site" but specifically, thanks so much jtmartino - really nice to see you again, thanks for the amazing beers, and good luck out there today! The study released yesterday re: being able to test to determine which breast cancer patients were candidates for surgical/hormone (no-chemo) treatment actually made the radio news on my morning drive to the train today.

so.... at the end of the night you put out right?

Oh please, I posted my haul, this is the haul thread, not the “oh ya I have this and that and twelve of those in my cellar” thread. Short of a direct quote, that’s the **** at Cantillon today I was not a fan of. You’d be in the same boat as me if you were there, I’m sure.

All in good fun, Mr. Gas.

Having never been to Cantillon. I wholly doubt that. Even if I had the good fortune of going multiple times, and fellow citizens had the audacity to frequent a place I was at; still no way.

Really? I find it hard to enjoy sharing and drinking beer with shitlordy people, and unfortunately the loudest and largest groups at Cantillon today we’re exactly that type. I guess I shouldn’t speak to your preferences. To each their own.

I hate being that guy and derailing this particular thread of gorgeous beer porn, but last time I was at Cantillon with some friends we did over hear a group of "**** lords" talking about trading for the biggest wins, selling bottles, etc. I ended up saying something while they were talking about DL and the barrel aged variants... We then had a pleasant discussion about beer that evolved into other things. Turns out they were "new"ish to the whole beer trading and ticking hysteria and probably just going through a phase. When my other friends went on a day trip to Brugge the next day I ended up hooking up with the Cantillon **** lords and visiting 3F and Moeder fontainas and having a pretty awesome day of amazing beers but rarely talking about beer and beer culture.

Awesome turn of events, and that’s nice of you to lend a friendly ear and an olive branch, so to speak. I find it hard to be that person when I see that type of behavior.

rrrjjj (w/ an assist from Competicity) did me dirty after mentioning I would love to try pFriem's Pilsner! Totally generous box of all new PNW ticks to help me through this heat and he didn't even ask for anything in return. This site is too much, love all you guys.

Those pFriem and Heater Allen are high on my to-do list. The Breakside is really good too.
