Yesterday I tested positive for mono caused by the Epstein-barr virus. My question is, about a week into mild symptoms ( and thinking I only had a cold) I took a hydro reading on my two beers. Now I sanitized everything and didn't intentionally breathe into the carboys, is it possible a virus could live in an alcoholic environment like that? The first is a 6.7abv ipa that's 4 weeks old and the other is a 2 week old red at about 4%. I just don't want to give anyone this awful sickness when the beers done.
Thanks everyone
