There was a network news blurb contrasting the mayhem and chaos in Philly after they won against the amazingly calm state of Massachusetts after the New England Patriots clinched...

Maybe someday Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland (errr, Vegas) Raiders will match up in a SB. Have it played in Kabul or Baghdad.

Joking and trash talk aside... Gillette has the bad reputation of being way too much to the other side and being a wine and cheese crowd.... and there’s a lot of truth to that.

During the regular season it’s embarrassing. The whole crowd basically has this attitude of “ok boys, if you could go ahead and wrap this up in.... like.. 2 hours... just make it a blow out... cuz I have a tee time I could still make...”

It’s ridiculous. No one even makes any noise until the playoffs start.

Spoiled.

Plus, Kraft has really cleaned up the stadium in terms of bullshti.... which I have mixed feelings about. I like being able to bring my sons (10 & 12) but its a brutally lame crowd at the same time

Sitting here nursing a big ass stout watching the Pats-Jags game replay on NFLTV, last half of the fourth quarter.
Jags pass rush was a shadow of the early quarters, leaving Our Hero to go through receiver progressions at least once, maybe twice, on each attempt.
Thinking about how many times the Patriots have come from behind in the 4th quarter - something like 40 times in the Brady/Belichick era - makes me think New England is simply better conditioned than pretty much every other team they face.

So, might not be any mystique about it, could simply be training and conditioning effort- the ugly stuff nobody who plays football actually wants to do...

When you are tailgating with linen napkins and crystal glasses, you’re kinda asking for it. Leaving in the fourth quarter to check on your soufflé for after the game compounds it.

I have been to plenty of Patriots games and the parking lots look nothing like that before or after the game. Sure some people are dicks and leave a pile of cans and trash but that is a very small percentage of people. 95% of the parkings lots are clean. The Philly stadium looked like a frat house after a 3 day weekend of partying.

I know it is tough for you to understand but it really isn't hard to throw stuff away in 1 of the thousand trash barrels they put in the lots.
