Watching Brady fumble twice and throw a pick in ten minutes time just made my night. Hey Cape, tell us all how about how awesome Belichick is. I want to hear how great his roster management is. I want to hear how awesome the offense is going to be. When you surround a Hall of Fame quarterback with scrubs do you really expect to win a championship? How do you give up 41 points to an Alex Smith-led offense? Is it still a dynasty when they haven't won a championship in ten years? The world wants to know.

Wow... And I thought I exaggerated a shti-ton on this thread.

Yeah... Belichick totally sucks now. They are 2-2 and are playing like total shti for the first time in 15 years. I won't bother running through the gaudy stats because I know you already know em... so.... while I certainly appreciate everyone's immediate giddiness and urge to lube up and **** all over themselves.... let's keep it all in perspective.

So yeah, Belichick "sucks" now... you nailed it.

Please

It's "Obnoxious trash talk" not "insanely stupid trash talk" (even though Hoppy IS allowed to post somehow).

Any time you want to start comparing teams... Just say the word.

It's okay Cape. Take it from someone who has literally seen **** put on the field year after year. The Pats are mediocre at best. You'll still win the division at 10-6 but you're a one and done team.

"The Chiefs beat us like we stole somethin": Vince Wilfork

.... as much as it sucks, that's a great line.

I fully anticipate a lot more Pats bashing given how dominant they have been for so long and how bad they looked last night.... its a natural reaction from the victims of the last 14 years... So... I'm not trying to change the topic

BUT...

What happened with the Ray Rice/Goodell must be shot in the face!/but he may have seen the totally fcuking irrelevant tape!! Bullshti talk?

What shiny metallic thing got shined in the face of the media? Last week Bill Simmons was a media martyr and ESPN was Satan in the form of tv network. This week? Crickets.

It is a normal reaction to the Pats. Brady is getting older, they have needed to rebuild and retool around him to try and get the most out of his last few years. Declining but not done. Hilarious to see people pile on. Guaranteed that when Brady is finally gone and NE is rebuilding the Dolphins, Bills, Jets fans would still all rather their organizations be run like the Pats.

In terms of the Goodell stuff. No the tape doesn't matter because any reasonable person had to know how bad it was. Simmons was right, Goodell is a ****ing liar. I would love to see his smug ass go. Espn, they're a joke, Simmons was suspended because the nfl is the golden goose and he went after uncle moneybags, not because he laced his opinion with profanities.

Two words: Geno Smith

I thought you were going to say Butt Fumble. Geno Smith? He's nothing compared to that. I'm disappointed Cape.

As for Bill Simmons being suspended - Good! I'm sick of hearing him talk about basketball and the Celtics. No one cares Bill! Take the time off to reign in the Grantland staff or write a mail bag for a first time in forever.

Yeah... I come down on the exact opposite side of that whole deal (Simmon, Goodell, etc.).... which... is not really surprising since I'm much smarter than all of you.

Simmons didn't get suspended because the NFL blah blah golden goose. Simmons got suspended because he broke internal rules that were so well known that he anticipated getting in trouble WHILE he was doing it, and then dared his employer to suspend him for it. How fcuking stupid can you be? (Unless it was all a publicity stunt and if it was, it wasn't a very good one).

I don't effin care if ESPN's rule is you can't say the word "giggles" on air. That's their rule and if Simmons doesn't like it, he can stop cashing ESPN's checks, go somewhere else, and say, "giggles" to his fcukin hearts content. In the mean time, he KNEW what he was doing was wrong, did it anyway, and then dared his employer to do something about it... and ESPN is the bad guy here??

I also love the whole line of thinking of "oh well.... ESPN is just the NFL's lapdog" (not saying you said that but that is a common theme these days).

My question is.... And? So? (Sorry... Two questions I guess).

They are massive, huge, gargantuan, business partners to the tune of over $2Billion+ a year. WTF do people expect?? "Oh but ESPN are supposed to be impartial journalists!!" Bulllllllllllshti. 1) where the hell is that magic rule written?? 2) yeah... ESPN is really the hard hitting "journalists" who get to the REAL story behind..... batting averages. Gimme a freakin' break.

****, I agree with Cape.

I'm frankly sick of the whole dumb: "[insert reporter, spokeman, hack, duck call maker dude with a beard, chicken sandwich shop owner guy, etc] had his 1st ammendment right of free speech violated by his employeer!!!"

Unless your employer is Congress (or some other form of government), get the **** over it. You're employer is going to have terms/conditions of your employment, and if you don't like it - go butt fumble yourself, or play QB for the Jets.

It's not a surprise that Simmons was suspended or that espn is a whore for the nfl, doesn't make what Simmons says any less the truth, that's my only point. Goodell is an arrogant sack of doo doo and it's funny watching him get raked for all this stuff.
