Remember when college football was fun to watch? I don't.

It really is perfect. Bring back Harvin for the PO and light the tires. Teams won't know what to do.

Oh right.... they've been saving him for the playoffs. Because having a speed guy with a major hip injury that's kept him off the field for over a year now, playing for a new team which he's had little to no time to acclimate to was their master plan.

Do you realize how stupid you sound?

But professional teams scale back to not tip their hand of what they'll do in the playoffs! Sure they do.

You aren't going to dramatically change whatever you've been doing that's gotten you to 12 or 13 wins. You might throw in a new wrinkle or two, but that's true every week, playoffs or not.

You're right. They must have decided that having Wilson run for huge gains just wasn't working for them and you won't ever see it again. LOL

The NFL is shameful. People can't afford hundreds and hundreds of dollars to go see their watered down poorly officiated product so they might enforce the blackout rule. Tax payers paid for that ****ing stadium in Indianapolis, they should tell the NFL to go pound sand and petition their local members of congress to reevaluate the NFL's tax exempt status in retribution for even threatening this.

Remain calm. It's the Holidays, peeps are in transit all over the country, and some of those teams could have easily (and perhaps should have) missed the playoffs entirely.

While the actual likelihood of there being even one unsold seat at an NFL playoff game is vanishingly small, I still think that story is hilarious - particularly wrt Green Bay...

Cheers!

Oh, I don't think the games will be blacked out, but the NFL uses this as a threat every year. NFL squeezes every last dollar out and then turns around and claims tax exempt status as a nonprofit. Then again no ones ever denied the NFL is run by unethical scum.

Nope throw out the playbook. Fly sweeps to Harvin every play. Thats what's gonna get Bevell hired in DC.

Every playoff team will sellout. As for GB, the last non sellout at Lambeau was 1960.

But I get what you're saying still... strong arm BS

Must be teams with weak fan bases. Tickets for the first playoff game in Seattle went on sale at 10am this morning. Sold out at 10:04.

Much like Haley's comet, when something happens so infrequently, people want to be a part of it, before it's gone.

I will agree however that if Green Bay wasn't paying people to shovel the stadium, they wouldn't ever sell out. The patriots have sold out every game since 1843.

I wouldn't go if the tickets were free. :p

Can't they just pack themselves in cheese or Rodgers used mustache hair?

Zero is the high. By halftime I all but guarantee it'll be -10. No thanks. Better view in front of my 60" LED TV and fireplace :cross:.

Why I live here I have no idea. Got to get back to the desert...

*****. Gillette looked damn full last week, and that was in the middle of a 35° monsoon. I'd rather be in zero degrees and snow than thirty-five and soaking wet.

I've been to Gillette in a similar cold rain storm and also went when it was below 15°. I think I'd rather go when it rains. Once you get wet you really don't care. When you are freezing there is nothing you can do. Now if you say 35° and rain or 30° and snow, I'd go with snow. But cold rain or below 15°, I'd go cold rain.

Just straight-up cold doesn't bother me, if it's not too windy. Cold rain, though... nothing's worse.

Pretty sure you haven't experienced this level of cold. Hell I never did either until I moved up here. Its friggen ridiculous. I got to put boots on my dog from the pain to his feet otherwise he'll just lay down once it gets to be consistently below zero for highs..

Next Monday they're saying a high of -11 here in twin cities. This isn't wind chill temps either. Its BS

Green Bay will be sold out; just not through my assistance.

I'm someone who obviously understands the game of football better than you.

Oh great another bastard with redzone

Not sure why I have to be a bastard... but ok.

I actually don't have redzone. I just played the game, watch a lot of games, and have a pretty good understanding of the sport. Which is why the comment about Harvin coming back and being a difference maker right away is just ridiculous.

I think you need to read a little of this thread before you post here it'll give you a better grasp of it.
