I feel like Fredo taking Moe Greene's side in the casino, but you're just wrong, Cape.
There's a difference between being a "fan" of another team (also known as having a "secondary team") and rooting for another team when the outcome of their game does not impact the prospects for YOUR team.
I like Clay Matthews and root for the Pack... except if they're playing New England, or if for some reason the other team winning would somehow help New England. I'd never buy a Clay Matthews jersey. I don't spend time on Green Bay newspaper sites or fan sites other than to troll for FFB information.
Just like there are some teams I always root AGAINST. Arizona. Seattle (don't ask why, I just don't like 'em). Lots of AFC teams for obvious reasons. The Cowboys.
****, can I tell you a little secret? Promise not to tell... but a couple years ago, I started rooting for the Brewers. NL team - never play the Red Sox - and in a World Series I'd always root wholeheartedly for the Sox. They sucked at the time, this was before they became decent. I liked Prince Fielder. I like listening to games that Bob Uecker announces.
And... they're ****ing BREWERS.
I *almost* even bought a hat.... but I couldn't do it.
I'm guessing you don't play FFB, do you Cape? The world's FULL of conflicts then. Probably just as well, I'd be taking your $25 this year.
