I know I'm supposed to be really obnoxious (there are plenty of great examples here), it's just not my style. But, you're correct, the Cardinals are looking pretty bleak right now. I have my favorite teams but I don't like it to be so bad that it's cringe worthy.

I didn't have the "pleasure" of watching the Browns enough to get a read on them last year. I'm the type that wants any really bad NFL team to win, I don't know, six games or so? Again, not "obnoxious trash talk" worthy.
Tonight's contest was insulting to the Cards and they should question their dedication. It seems they are distracted by something that's not been in the media--something festering. I'm not an Arizona fan or anything, just an observation.
You know, on a separate note, I want to love pro football but much of what I read makes me less enthusiastic. I'm not ready to abandon the game though, not yet.
I'm kind of wondering what my threshold is. It's not like I've been tossed fluffy stuffed toys when I read ESPN. I get inundated with all sorts of anti-social activity and that, obviously, doesn't make me happy.
The good thing is that I know is there are plenty of upstanding men in the league who value integrity.

I tried, way back in 2000, to go on a football chatroom expecting to gain some insight from knowledgeable fans. I was really excited to see all those opinions in one place. It did not work out that way. Naive of me, probably.
Tried it again, eighteen years later. Naive of me, definitely. Should have taken the title a little more seriously, I think.
I don't like putting people on "Ignore" but what's a word for "worse than obnoxious"? Really, I don't mind "obnoxious" if it has a direction. It's still an interesting forum in smaller doses.
I put two on "Ignore" (don't know names) that were just shooting to shoot.

I feel your pain. First time I came around here it was a little different than I expected. The help sections of this forum had been such a positive experience for me that I didn't have my guard up when I got here.

I don't have an ignore list, but I pretty much tune out the people doing the worst of the gatekeeping and the more obnoxious stuff.

I thought this was going to be a serious forum to discuss the intricacies of football. I certainly didn’t expect obnoxious trash talk! I’d love to see comments, but I’m ignoring all of you.

It was different for me as well but there was no false advertising, meaning I was warned. So, to each his own and their different styles of communication.
I've found the food/beer/animal threads very positive for the most part so that's cool.
I like talking about football, here and there, so I'll check in.
