Hey everyone - wondering if anyone had the same experience I am having right now.

Making a DIPA with .75 lb Flaked oats and A38 Juice from imperial and I am having the most crazy Krausen.

It has been a week at about 64 degrees and I went to crack the lid on my brewbucket for a gravity and hopefully dryhop.

I had the thickest krausen on top - not bubbles and a light film, but a thick, tan mass atop the beer that seemed thick enough to hold up a pint glass.

I would ahve brought the temp up to 68, but I have been away, so it stayed at 64. Bringing it to 68tonight for clean up, but I have never seen krausen this high after a week.

Any similar experiences out there?

Yes, I am having the same experience currenty. Brewing a NE IPA with that strain and it is the biggest krausen I've seen in a while. Glad I have the headspace on my Spiedel! Love that fermentor.
