Hello! Tomorrow I'm brewing my first all-grain. My 2nd beer ever. This is going to be a chocolate cherry porter. I'm wanting something creamy and a little tart...but not too sweet. I thought that instead of adding lactose I'd put oatmeal in my mash to give it a more creamy texture. After kegging, I plan to put it on a nitro tap.

Any recommendations or thoughts?

I would think oatmeal would be a better choice than lactose. Lactose will leave a sweetness. Maybe some wheat also. Some people get a tart taste from wheat.
