Does anyone have any ideas what to do with 3lbs of oak smoked wheat malt. I recently made a piwo grodiziskie and now have a little leftover smoked wheat. Just trying to think of a recipe to use the last of this stuff up. I was think maybe a smoked and spiced saison, but that doesn't sound too appealing to me. Any ideas?

Smoked Hefeweizen? Smoked golden lager with some pils and Munich malt? A stout, porter, or brown ale is always good too.

A smoked hefe might be interesting. Maybe I should wait to see how the piwo turned out. Then I can get an idea of how smokey it actually is.

I also made one recently for the first time and am curious what your recipe was?
For the piwo? It was 7lbs of oak smoked wheat. .5 oz of sterling at 60 minutes and 5 minutes, and fermented with k-97. I wish I would've added a little more to be honest. I read that the DP on this malt was pretty low, but expected a little better conversion than what I got. But it should he to style at least. I'm kegging it up this weekend, so I'll let you know how it tastes once it's all carbed.
