Seeking some advice please. I have a 10 gallon oak barrel that was used for rum production in a previous life. I have stored it with about 3 gallons of rum inside and rotate the barrel just about every day to ensure the inside remains wet and sealed. Once I drain the rum (and store for future use), is the inside sanitized enough to put 10 gallons of beer in it for conditioning? I am planning on spraying StarSan around the opening and inserting a stopper with air lock once the beer is inside.
