got it. as I said, I've never bottled before so im just guessing about the temp stages. but if folks do let things warm to room temp typically then i'd assume that's why the calculators use the actual priming/bottling temp as opposed to the Ferm temp. maybe its also insurance that they don't have you over-carb the beer....

See, this is where I think the calculators need a bit more of an explanation. All of these comments make total sense about using highest ferm temp but the calcs never specify this and therefore confuse the hell out of those of us who aren’t well versed in the relationship of pressure and temperature haha. Side note, I would love some reading on the subject, any recommendations?
