I broke down and purchased a bag of o-rings to quiet down my noisy stir bar.
If you have a 3/8 stirbar these are for you. As you can see it fits right over my pivot ring and holds firmly in place. It has been spinning in my flask for 5 hours and no more noise. I also think it spins a bit faster than before. These are silicone o-rings.
