Just as I suspected. So when you said "it's been proven", what you really meant is "based on nonscientific anecdotal evidence involving my uncle and the unions, I'm guessing that ignorant people vote liberal". Just wanted to clear that up.

Not exactly "proof". More like "guess based on anecdote".

The union is a mass of people, just like the illegals that HB99 was talking about. So I think it is a very true statement. Just ask anyone that works for the union.

My double checked numbers came from USHMM. The majority of sources I find on the internet find the number at around 11million. Their are only a few that have the number's at higher than 20 Million. As far as the ignorant, one word unions. My uncle is told every election to go vote for the democrat option.

Ok I really need to go look for another job now.
I guess we'll never really know for sure.

Sorry about the job hunt...I guess the Union stood behind you...hey! Who's pushing...:D

I was told many years ago that you really need a career over a job because job means Just Over Broke...;)

it's pretty simple why your uncle is advised to vote democratic by his union. democrats are generally more supportive of unions. too bad unions aren't very democratic anymore...

there's plenty of propoganda pushed by both sides and many ignorant people vote based on a certain bias that they believe their side stands for.

it's really a big crock of **** anymore...everyone is pandering. i can't stand to watch these candidates "debate". it's making me seriously ill :( i wish we could all stop choosing sides and worry more about issues. i'm sick of "all or none"

btw, i have no idea how this argument started. just came in at the last minute, so my two cents may be worth zero :p

As a taxpayer, you'll always be working for your Uncle...;)

Today I have 33 years with Uncle.;)

I'm eligible (@ 55) to retire in 2 years and 1 month. I may stay until Oct '09...depends. I'll be turning in about 9 months of sick time which will compute to just shy of 36 years service to my country. :D

Not to hijack this, but since it's already been mentioned, I have a hard time with the 9-11 conspiracy theories. I've read the essays, seen the videos and none of them can compare to what I've learned in the course of my career about building construction and fire behavior, to say nothing about eyewitness accounts at the Pentagon by dozens of coworkers of mine. I'll tend to believe what they saw rather than what 100 professors think. You don't have to be on the "government's side" to manipulate material to get your point across.

Afterall, what do you call a doctor that graduated at the bottom of their graduating class?

A doctor. :D

Back to the topic at hand, that's just scary. Remember when Presidents used to get impeached for getting a hummer? :D

Didn't Matt Stone and Trey Parker settle the damn 9/11 thing once and for all? :mug:

Hahaha! Too quick with the reply. Ah well, let it lay where it lands. :D

Gonna have to go hit YouTube for the Stone/Parker take. :p

Just read the synopsis of it. Gonna have to set the DVR. :D

Yeah, we have an unlimited South Park timer on ours. We've found out the hard way how much CC replays South Park. And god forbid you go away for a weekend and they have one of their marathons. We've come back before to see that we only have like 4 hours of space left out of 100. :drunk:

If Bush is King George, then who is Cheney?

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/06/21/cheney-records/

So Cheney is exempt in this case cuz he says so but when it came time to give up emails pertaining to the state attorneys firing, Cheney's office, through the justice department, headed by Alberto Gonzalez, refused and actually obfuscated the investigation(i.e. Scooter Libby) by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, citing executive privilege!!!!

...In researching this subject, Cheney, as V.P. might actually not be considered a part of the Executive branch of government...Link
"Nor is it clear, even assuming the court chooses to hear the Comptroller General's case, that the Vice President can assert executive privilege. The Constitution vests the Executive Power in the President. So long as the President remains healthy, the Vice President has no constitutionally assigned executive function. As far as the Constitution is concerned, the Vice President's role is legislative in nature: to preside over and break ties in the Senate."

This is all very time-consuming and confusing stuff. I sure hope good people that know what's best for this country are doing there job. It would be very easy for well-meaning people to get lost in the jungle.
