Northern Brewer pale ale question/opinion

I am ordering a few kits to try from northern brewer and am torn on the pale ale. Do I get the Extra Pale Ale or the Sierra Madre pale ale? Is there a commercial version either is like that I may have tried? The Extra is a little lighter on alcohol and is just quite a bit of cascade hops....the Sierra is higher alcohol with summit, perle and cascade hops.

Well it depends on how bitter you like your beer. Thats how I would decide.

The Sierra Madre sounds like a Sierra Nevada clone.

I brewed the Extra Pale Ale kit a few months ago and it turned out well. As many people on the NB site recommend, I got an extra ounce of cascade to dry hop with. The smell of the beer was awesome! If it doesn't have the ABV's you want, just get an extra pound of DME to bump it up.

The Sierra Nevada clone sounds good though too. I don't think you can go to far wrong.
