Does anyone know if the valves northern brewer sells for their cooler conversion kits have straight threads or tapered threads?

Those are standard, tapered (npt) threaded ball valves, I called Northern Brewer to confirm what I already knew to be true. The kits include close nipples and require thread sealant on all the pipe threads. Straight threads require the use of an o-ring. The o-rings provided with their cooler conversion kits simply get "crushed" between washers and the cooler to provide a seal.
