Hello all,
I'm a newbie at this, just brewed my first batch last night. (Actually, I had a Mr. Beer kit about 4 years ago, which flopped like a fish out of water. So, I'm giving it a second shot.) Got a "deluxe" brewkit for Christmas from the wife and an American Pale Ale kit. Everything seemed to go good with the brew. Put it in the fermenter at about midnight and at 0900 I had bubbling already, so I guess thats a good sign. I hope that this is the first of many batches of brew!! Great site, looking forward to finding some good info on here.

Wow, your krausen happened fast! Now, the hard part comes. Waiting.. But, your patience will be well worth it. :mug:

Welcome aboard fellow noob....lol

Congrats on getting your first batch off and running. Now the hard part.... Waiting!

rawkstar - I'm about an hour and a half directly north of you, the huge little town of Clinton.

Yeah, the wait is already killing me!! I was pretty surprised to see it bubbling this morning when I got up. Went home at lunch and it was really $hittin and gettin in the bubbler.

Heh, Mr. Beer. It had to be 10 years ago when I first was introduced to Mr. Beer... I made a wonderful Malt Vinegar with it. Of course, I've since learned that cleanliness is next to godliness when brewing. :D
