Non pure maple syrup

The problem with those syrups is they're mostly sugar with a bit of maple flavoring. It'll ferment out bone dry and leave you with little-to-no maple flavor. The best maple beers I've had were typically made with dark syrup (grade b) or the last runnings (if you have access to them)

That was my thoughts, I dont mind shelling out for the more expensive stuff but it's always nice to save a few if I can
