Brewed up a great extract recipe, went to grab the yeast from the fridge. None left..... :smack: It is all nicely sealed and sitting in my fermentation chamber but.....
1.) Will this be bad if I cannot get the yeast for 2 days to add?
2.) Do I need to try to "oxygenate" by swirling/rocking the beer before adding the yeast as it will have been sitting for several days?

Probably OK. Sometimes yeast takes 48 hours to start even when you add it immediately. I would still try to get some yeast n there ASAP. Do you have any commercial or homebrew bottles with dregs that you could get started? Also, yes, I would oxygenate when you are ready to pitch. Couldn't hurt.

If the temp in the chamber is cool enough the wort should keep and not sour... ( I don't know if sour is the right term, but I know from keeping spent grains that it has a unappealing change of aroma that seems sour if not chilled)

This is perfect for that "Don't do that" thread. :D
