I have had a nitro set up for a while now, and I have have gone through several tanks of nitro. Probably 3 or 4 over 3 or 4 batches of beer. I have checked several times and can not find any leaks. Is this just a normal usage rate of the nitro, or is there something wrong here. any thoughts?

definitely some leaking somewhere. I have a small 5lb tank and its about 1/4-1/2 full right now and I have used it on at least 4 kegs so far. Are you force carbing with it?

I have been lightly force carbonating with c02 then put in on nitro to serve

I would suggest taking some sudsy water and rubbing it everywhere there is a connection point and see if any bubbles start to show up, you should not be going through that much gas.

i think they do go fast, but not that fast. i am on my 4th corny on the same 5 gal tank.

You must have a leak. I have gone through about 5 kegs with mine and still have gas left.

What size tank do you have? I just got my nitro setup and got the 5lb co2 tank filled with beer gas. They have a 20cuft tank but it's huge!

fwiw, I have a 20cf O2 cylinder and it's nearly the same dimensions as my 5 pound CO2 cylinder. And my 40 cf beer gas cylinder sits between the other tanks and it really doesn't totally dwarf them - bigger but not like "Wow!" bigger...

Cheers!

I'm not sure, but I went to the welding supply place and They had two sizes of beer gas tanks... One was aluminum and the same exact size as a 5lb co2 tank and then a steel one that was about twice as long and twice as thick

Just got my first nitro tank, supposedly 22 cf and it's the size of a 5lb CO2 tank. Hope you guys don't mind me asking a semi-related question, but how to you know you've got a full tank of beergas? Is there a certain pressure it should fill to? I got my first tank fill and it was 1700psi at room temp. Seems kinda low - I've heard over 2000 or something? Used to weighing my CO2 tanks as soon as I get them home.

Good question. As soon as my regulator arrives this week, I'll hook it up and see what the pressure of my tank is
