Does the length of the serving line matter with nitro and a restrictor faucet? I know line balancing is important with co2 but I haven't noticed it being talked about with nitro

I don't think it matters at all. Indeed, shorter is likely better as excessive restriction kinda defeats what we're trying to accomplish...

Cheers!

I've asked this same question myself, but I don't believe it's as important because regardless of whatever higher pressure you're pushing at, it'll be reduced by the restrictor plate.

To the point, I run an ~8 foot length of 3/16" ID PVC tubing to my stout faucet and run the 75/25 beer gas at 35 psi. If it wasn't for the stout faucet - if I ran that kind of pressure through my 525ss Perls - the pours would be explosive...

Cheers!

Reviving an old post here… so if I found some 1/4 inch id bevlex, I would think it should work for my nitro stout faucet since balancing is not really done with the hose. I usually use my 3/16 co2 hoses but I want to have another beer on tap and that puts me one line short. Usually run the 3/16 around 38 psi with 75/25
