I turned off the TV in disgust after Det tied it. Seen the 3rd period collapse too many times this season.

Wait, are you talking about the Blues collapse? Or the Wings, who probably gave up more leads this season than any other so far. I was mad they lost the shootout, but they did manage to come back, which was unexpected.

Now it's almost olympics time... Crap.

I'm gonna miss the NHL games during the olympics, but there should be some pretty good games. (+ being on NHL ice this year)

Olympic hockey kicks ass! I won't miss the NHL one iota during the break.

NHL ice? As in the smaller surface? That sucks.

No, I like Olympic hockey, but the wife will make me watch all the other stuff besides hockey and curling. And I'm not even sure if they will show curling where I'm at.

I do think that olympic hockey has its disadvantage in that the players generally don't have as much experience playing with each other, since about half or more play on different teams in the NHL.

And I'm not sure why a larger ice surface makes it better. Oh, I know, it's cause the Europeans have it...

Yeah, it GM place standard ice surface, well hopefully without the trash the VAN fans throw when they're losing and there's a "bad call".

Team Sweden f'ed up and has 8 d-men on their roster. They knew it was narrow ice and went with international style line-up anyway.

Howza bout that piss poor performance of Mikka I'm-the-starter-or-I'm-not-playing Kiprusoff? What a train wreck.

I think the coach left him in so long out of spite.

He did put in a performance that would make Arturs Irbe rather proud.

And the Canes paste the Maple Leafs 5-1 tonight.

They're only nine points out of the playoffs. I say "only" because they have won 10 of their last 13. Where was this team in the first half of the season?

The Blues are skating well, scoring some goals finally. Just won their 5th straight.

Look out, you Redwinged bastards!

Chippy game in CHI tonight, got started less than 30 seconds into the game.
Hawks all over VAN 6-2 after 2.
Luongo pulled after giving up 5 goals in 1st.
Hawks fans taunting him with the "LUUUU" chant. Hilarious.

Luongo = way hay hay hay over rated.

Canada won gold in spite of him and Brodeur.

As much as I would like to see it, Vancouver won't make it to the finals with the current line up.

Ovechkin boards Campbell:

Campbell out for year with broken collarbone, broken rib, 2nd degree concussion.

I am so pissed

What pisses me off is everyone saying it was a simple push......im sorry that was dirty ovi knew exactly what he did. and he knew it was wrong. ive read people saying that it would be wrong if he checked him.....if he checked him into the boards i bet campbell would have finished the game and the rest of this season. its kind of od exactly 42 games after his last hit like that and 41 is the cutoff that avoids a automatic suspension....they need to do something about it.

I love his explanation after the game...
"I don't think it was a real good check. He just kind of fell and it was a dangerous moment. It was not a hard hit. I just wanted to push him," Ovechkin, the two-time MVP, added.

"I didn't hit him hard. I pushed him, but he fell bad. It probably looks bad. I thought it was going to be two minutes, but the linesman came to me and said 'Game over."

He said something very similar after his last suspension. He just makes excuses to try and get out of the minor punishment he gets.

He is the Ogrechicken!

Hey, did one of you drunken mods change the title? It used to read "NHL 2009/2010 Season - Drunken Trash talk Allowed", or at least I thought that's what I typed many moons ago.
