Hi, I'm Arron and I have been making homebrew for a couple years using a Mr. Beer setup (three kegs actually). Recently I started to gather better equipment to make larger batches.
The Mr. Beer made ok beer. I had a lot of fun with it, tried some things that ended well and some things that did not end well. My last batch was an Oktoberfest style beer that ended up at 9%abv. It was fermented at 60*F and stored for 6 months before I had some. I have a couple bottles left
My set up now will include 2 carboys, a 22quart stainless brew pot (still looking for the perfect spoon), a hot plate and a dedicated space to brew and ferment in my basement.
I love good beer. I love trying new beers (good or bad). And I have my favorites that I fall back on (Bud Light w/ lime in the hot months, Deschutes Twilight and ESB in the cooler months). These keep my bottle supply up
Currently, I have questions about kegging my brew, so off to search I go!
Thanks!
