Newcastle Brown recipe change

Apparently, Newcastle has caramel color added to make it its distinctive brown color.

But that'll soon be changing with the substitution of higher Lovibond malts.

And if you can't trust the BBC, who can you trust?

One by one, the classic British brands are being bought by big companies, and the result in quality and taste is predictable.

While I generally agree with 'big company' bashing, Heineken bought Newcastle at least eight years ago, so nothing new, and in this case, they are going to replace a chemical with natural ingredients. Seems like a positive step to me.
