OK, so I'm sure that there's a good way to do this that I am over looking.

When I finish using it, I always run clean water through to rinse my syphon and tubing. I worry about how to get it clean and if I should use soap, since I am worried about soap residue inside. Also, once I get it rinsed, I cannot seem to get it dry inside. Should I worry about it staying wet and growing bugs? Is there a trick to getting it dry? Thanks in advance for your help!

Several methods work.

Hose brush.

Fishing line. Pull a piece of cloth or paper towel through it to clean inside the tubing.

Foam ear plug and blow it through with your water pressure. You have to have a way to attach it to the water system.

To dry the hose spin it over your head like its a lasso. hang it to dry.

I spray water through it, then spray star san through it. I don't worry about it being wet as it is coated with a surface contact that keeps sanitizing until it is rinsed off.

Oxyclean in a 5 gal bucket about 1/4 - 1/21 full. Make certain the tubing is full of oxy and allow it to soak overnight. Rinse thoroughly and sanitize. I throw everything with gunk on it into the bucket and allow it to soak overnight or longer. Montanaandy
