Hi Eschatz! Welcome.

Tone, I don't know if I'd drag them all down to Mad Anthony's or not, but maybe come to the meeting, introduce yourself and let everyone know what you have.
I had my AG class with Paul. He's an award winning brewer and he knows his stuff. It's free so what the heck. I learn something new every time I brew.

Yeah, i missed another meetings as well, seems like everytime i get hyped to attending one of these meetings, something else pops up.

On a better side, i was able to get my 1st brew, brewed this weekend, and would like to start another one, after i transfer primary to secondary/or bottles.

i'm so mad i dont live in fort wayne anymore and i never knew of MASH!

Hello fellow brewers Im just east of Ft. Wayne in Woodburn. been brewing for about three year now.mostly extract until recentley going to a.g. I did, it was great to meet some people and try Paul's beer. He certainly had some helpful tips and it is always good to see other peoples methods. I think I am going to be able to make it to the meeting next Sunday.

Good to hear that! You learn something new every time. Paul's a good guy and a stickler on sanitation and method.

If you do make it look me up and say "I'm Tonedef"!!

**Just a heads-up**
MASH brew club meeting this Sunday at Mad Anthony's at 3PM.
Also, National Homebrew Day or "BIG BREW" is coming up on Saturday, May 3. It's an international event to promote the art of homebrewing.

People get together and brew beer, talk beer, drink beer and have a great time. Warbird Brewery is hosting the event and quite a few club members are going to be brewing there that day. If this interests you, stop by the meeting Sunday as this will likely be discussed, or get a hold of me and I can give you the info. We'll need a total of people brewing and people just showing up.

Cheers,
Bob

Scooby snacks too!

Nice to meet you Tonedef! I hope you got something out of the meeting besides a buzz! I look forward to seeing you at Big Brew!

ME

I picked up a couple of kegs off of him earlier today!! Thanks again!!

I need to make it to one of these meetings sometime!

It was good to meet you guys. I am definitley going to make it to some more meetings, next time I will bring something that doesn't jump out of the bottle at you.

I tell you what, your beer had great roasty and coffee flavor, despite the foam. Keep checking bottles.

That was one of the smaller meetings that we've had in a while. Sometimes the meetings get a little loud and off track, which is usually in proprtion to the number of beers sampled. Go figure!
Keep coming, it's a lot of fun.

I have a question on brewpots, i looking to upgrade from my economy kettle to either a 8 or 10 gallon megapot w/ ball valve & weldless thermometer or a 10 gallon blichmann boilermaker.

Does anyone have any comments on either, or what brewpot do you use or prefer?

Hey Jam,

I can't comment as I use a converted keg.
Go as big as you can afford to give yourself room to grow. The both of those look nice though. The Boilermaker has the oooo-ahhhh thing going on.
