New Zealand Saaz

Has anyone used these hops? I've a pound of them coming and would like to know how close they are to "normal" Saaz. The average alpha is 8%.

well, i can tell you the AA is way up there! normal czech saaz are 3-4%

from Organic Hops it says that it is saaz bred with "new zealand stock"

not really sure what that means

I've always found Czech Saaz to be "soft". At 8% I doubt they will be the same.

Organic is where I bought them from. They sure are high Alpha. Hopefully adjusting the HBU's will allow them to give me a good rendition of Jamils CAP
