Hi All.

I'm new here but not to brewing.

I tend to make smaller beers, >5%. The husband has the market cornered on the crazy Imperial Stouts and Belgian Quads and Pliny the Younger Clones and so on. But I prefer a beer I can have a few of and still hold a conversation.

But so yes... hi!

And also a question: is the search function basically just Google?

For me, smaller beers mean more fun can be had. You do tend to run out faster, though.

I believe so, but I do know the best searches are in real Google with "site:homebrewtalk.com" as a search term.

I have the best luck using the Google option for the site search. Otherwise I rarely find the results I need.

I love the whole range of beer gravities and styles. All of them have their place.

The search bar up at the top left of the page works wonders for me!! It is a google search, but all the search results seem to be confined to this forum.
